Laying the Foundations for Success

In the Foundation Year, you will build essential academic and employability skills while being introduced to key concepts in psychology and business management. This foundation provides the groundwork for your future studies and career, ensuring you develop both the knowledge and practical skills needed for success.

Developing Core Skills and Knowledge

The second year of study focuses on deepening your understanding of psychology and its integration with business. You will enhance critical skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, all vital in both psychology and business settings. The course will help you apply these skills to real-world situations, preparing you for diverse challenges in the workplace.

Exploring Advanced Concepts and Strategic Thinking

In your third year, you'll explore more advanced topics such as human resource management, leadership psychology, entrepreneurship, and digital marketing strategies from a business psychology perspective. This deeper understanding will provide insights into how psychology influences business decisions and leadership. You'll also study virtual communication and its impact on business interactions in the digital age.

Applying Knowledge to Real-World Challenges

In the final year, you'll apply your accumulated knowledge to strategic decision-making processes and organizational development. You'll focus on negotiation strategies and career planning, while also tackling real-world business challenges through a project module. These opportunities will help you develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical skills essential for your career path.

"Applied Business Psychology gave me real-world insights into human behavior at work, helping me improve communication, leadership, and decision-making in practical ways."

Course Modules

This course employs an authentic assessment strategy to provide a practical approach to learning, ensuring each module presents real-life situations. These assessments are designed to help you develop and refine your business ideas, offering detailed feedback and opportunities for reflection, allowing you to enhance your proposals further.

The assessment methods aim to give you ample opportunity to demonstrate a full range of essential skills, knowledge, and competencies needed in the business environment. These include essays, reports, real-life simulations, presentations, group debates, and projects, allowing you to engage in practical, real-world tasks while building your expertise in business-related areas.

You will be expected to complete self-directed tasks such as research, homework, and group work. The ability to manage your time and engage in independent study will be crucial to your success. Guidance will be provided on how to approach these tasks effectively throughout your studies, ensuring that you can balance academic demands with personal development.

To ensure the assessments remain relevant and rigorous, they are regularly reviewed and may be updated based on feedback from students or external experts.
